The exam
When you fill the bar at levels 10, 20, and 30, the exam appears: 10 words from the next category and 1 miss at most. If you fail, you can retake it after 24 h.
Combo
Every 3 correct answers in a row, the multiplier goes up by 1 (x4 at most). A higher multiplier means more XP… and less time to answer.
- x10–2 correct in a row100% of the time
- x23–5 correct in a row90% of the time
- x36–8 correct in a row80% of the time
- x49+ correct in a row70% of the time
XP per correct answer
The category’s base XP times the multiplier: 2 in Beginner, 3 in Intermediate, 4 in Advanced and 5 in Bilingual.
If you miss
A miss, or running out of time, sends the combo back to 0 and the multiplier to x1.
Daily cap
Up to 800 XP a day. After that you keep going in practice mode: no XP, but correct answers, stats and your daily streak still count.

FAQ
What people usually ask before they start.
Is Kuri x Kuri free?
Yes. Creating your account and playing is free.
Which languages can I learn?
There are two courses: Spanish (you see the word in Spanish and type it in English) and English (the other way round). Each course keeps its own progress and you can switch whenever you like.
Do I have to type accents?
No. Capitals, accents and punctuation don’t matter: “cancion” counts as “canción”. The letters do have to be right, and answers go without articles: “house”, not “the house”.
What if a word has several translations?
Any valid one counts. The answer is never shown during a game; when it ends you see every valid answer for the words you missed.
What happens if I leave in the middle of a game?
You lose that game: no XP or stats are saved. There is no other penalty.
Is there a daily limit?
You can earn up to 800 XP a day. Once you get there you enter practice mode: you keep playing without XP, and correct answers, stats and your daily streak still count.
What is the daily streak?
The days in a row on which you finish at least one game or one exam.
How old do I have to be?
14 or older.
Do I have to install anything?
No. It runs in the browser on your phone and your computer. You need a connection to play.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, whenever you want, from your profile. Your progress, your stats and all your data are deleted.
